Sinnotts Accountants welcomes two new Associate Directors

Sinnotts Accountants is thrilled to announce that Shaun Armitage and Dallas Mooney have recently become associate directors of the firm.

Long-term accountants with Warrnambool-based Young & Associates, prior to joining Sinnotts Accountants, Shaun and Dallas have long held ambitions of becoming partners, with their dreams becoming reality on July 1.

Dallas revealed the move into Sinnotts Accountants had been in the planning phase for the better part of two years, adding he was thrilled to become an associate director alongside his colleague.

“I’m very excited and proud to finally have my name on the door so to speak as it’s been an ambition of mine for around a decade now,” he said.

“I’ve been working with Shaun since 2011 so you could say we’ve been through thick and thin as far as work colleagues and friends go, so to go into business with one of my best friends is very exciting and trusting as I know exactly what Shaun brings to the table and what the clients and the business mean to him.”

Shaun, who admitted the realisation his dream was coming true following the final confirmation meeting, said he was honoured to become an Associate Director.

“It is quite a privilege to become a part of an accounting firm that has been in operation since the 1950s,” he said.

“I feel proud that the work I have put in over the years has resulted in me getting the opportunity to work alongside some great people at Sinnotts Accountants.

“I’m sure there will be challenges that come up but with the team we have around I’m confident we can achieve great results for ourselves and our clients.”

While only being associate directors for a fortnight, Dallas and Shaun are both already continuing to build upon current client relations in a bid to ensure the future success of both client businesses and Sinnotts Accountants.

“It’s been a big and challenging couple of years for a lot of businesses so to see them continue to develop out of those years will be very exciting,” Dallas said.

“At the end of the day we won’t exist without our clients so to see them succeed will allow us to follow suit.”

Shaun added Sinnotts Accountants remained committed to providing a more personal approach to clients and would tailor its services and advice to ensure the company remained one of south-west Victoria’s leading accounting firms.

“Sinnotts has offices in Warrnambool, Port Fairy, Camperdown and Colac, so we can communicate online between the offices with much ease due to the systems we have. This has been tested out during the numerous lockdowns over the past two years and offered a great ability to function at full capacity when working from home,” he said.

“Sinnotts also has a great ability to implement software and processes, be it to automation with accounting software more affectively, new programs that can give better reports or details to business to always help them develop.”

Sinnotts Accountant director Aaron Sinnott welcomed Shaun and Dallas as associate directors of the firm and said it was an exciting time for all involved.

“Dallas and Shaun have become key members of the team over the past two and a half years and are deserving of taking the next step fulfilling their new role within the business,”

“Their professionalism and expertise is second to none, while they also have a sound working knowledge of our processes and uphold our values of “we care”.

“I wish them all the best as associate directors of the firm and am looking forward to a progressive and bright future for Sinnotts Accountants.”
