A love of working closely with farming families and helping business owners make the most of their opportunities is behind Ian Holland’s move to Sinnotts Accountants.
Mr Holland has joined the Sinnotts team as their newest Senior Accountant and will spend the majority of his time servicing clients from their Colac office.
With 20 years of experience under his belt, the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) said the time was right to leave Crowe Howarth and take on a new challenge.
“Business advisory services and superannuation administration are areas of the profession that I really enjoy and I’m excited by the opportunity Sinnotts Accountants has given me to grow this part of their business,†he said.
“There’s an opportunity for me at Sinnotts to work closely with clients to build relationships and be part of the support network that drives their success and that’s what I’m really looking forward to.â€
Mr Holland grew up on dairy farm in Cooriemungle and attended Timboon P12 School, before completing his Bachelor of Business at Deakin University in Warrnambool.
He married Laura Gaut from Cobden and they’re now raising their three children in Colac where they have lived for the past 20 years.
“This is a big step for me and for our family, but it’s the right one for us. I’m known in the community and part of Sinnotts’ growth strategy is to grow its clientele in the Colac area so the opportunity and the timing just lined up perfectly for me,†he said.
“Sinnotts Accountants gives me the opportunity to use my broad skills to work hands on with clients to help them make good financial decisions.â€
Sinnotts Accountants director Aaron Sinnott said Mr Holland was a wonderful addition to the team and bolstered the firm’s business support expertise.
“Ian will work closely with Michelle Melville, Deirdre Fleming and myself at Colac, but he’ll also see clients in Camperdown, so his experience and expertise will be a fantastic asset to our entire business,†he said.
